Marriott Adds Innovative Shower Dispenser from Marietta & ReadyCare to Guest Rooms

The partnership between Marietta Hospitality and ReadyCare to offer the popular 8oz EcoEclipse Shower Dispenser to hotels for use in their guest rooms has gained significant momentum with the recent rollout to hundreds of Marriott CFRST hotels (Courtyard, Fairfield, Residence Inn, Springhill Suites & TownePlace Suites) and positive press coverage in Lodging Magazine, Green Lodging News, Los Angeles Times and Wall Street Journal.

Initial Rollout & Positive Reviews
Last December, Marriott started rolling out the dispenser system to Marriott-managed CFRST properties and through March 31st, 360 hotels have installed over 55,000 shower dispensers in guest rooms. So far, Marriott guests have been enthusiastic about the high-quality Tea Tree by Paul Mitchell liquids, loved the convenience of the 8oz shower dispensers, and supported Marriott's effort to reduce plastic waste. It's estimated that a 140-room Marriott property will reduce its plastic waste by an average of 250 lbs. per year (approximately 23,000 plastic bottles). Housekeeping teams also cheered the new shower dispensers as they no longer need to carry those cumbersome little plastic amenity bottles in their carts. According to Marriott's VP of Sustainability Denise Naguid, "This is a win-win from a sustainability perspective, operational perspective and financial perspective."

Expanded Rollout to Franchised Properties
The dispenser program has been recently expanded to the franchised Marriott CFRST properties and management teams are lining up to get started. In less than 2 months, 125 franchised properties have installed the dispenser system in guest rooms, and we expect 1,500 properties to join by year end.
